Project Homeless Connect is a one-day, one-stop event to provide people experiencing homelessness with access to a broad range of services,  including medical and foot care, dental screenings, legal services, employment assistance, pet care, food, shoes and haircuts. The event also helps participants contact lost families and obtain identification and applications for housing opportunities. This year, a collaboration of more than 60 service providers and 700 volunteers provided 9,500 services to at least 1,558 homeless in dividuals and families. PHC makes a powerful impact on homeless people’s lives by providing a wide range of assistance in one location, and by the outpouring of respect and hospitality from service providers and volunteers. |
